KIOTI Expands Sustainable Fuel Compatibility with Approval of HVO Fuel

KIOTI diesel engines are now approved for HVO fuel, enabling more sustainable operation without compromising performance or reliability.

KIOTI Europe is pleased to announce that its diesel engines are officially approved for operation with HVO fuel (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil). This development enables customers to further reduce the environmental impact of their equipment without compromising performance or reliability.

All KIOTI diesel-powered products — including tractors, SSL/CTL machines, UTVs, and zero-turn mowers — can now operate seamlessly using this non-fossil diesel alternative.

HVO100 is produced from renewable raw materials and can significantly improve the overall CO₂ balance compared to conventional fossil diesel. Importantly for operators, the fuel complies with the EN 15940 diesel standard and can be used directly without requiring any technical modifications to existing KIOTI engines. In addition, HVO fuel can be freely blended with conventional diesel, offering flexibility in fuel management and transition strategies.

Performance remains a key strength. Thanks to modern Common-Rail engine technology used across KIOTI equipment, the slightly lower energy density of HVO is effectively compensated for in real-world applications.

With this approval, KIOTI continues its commitment to providing practical, forward-looking solutions that support more sustainable operations while maintaining the durability and performance of proven diesel technology.
